Submitting Program of Study Course for Approval

Roles with Access:  District Lead and Academy Lead 
 
The process for submitting Program of Study courses for approval by NAF is an automated process through NAFTrack Certification.

1.   To request a program of study course for approval, click on “ REQUEST NEW COURSE.” 



2.  Click the “ PROGRAM OF STUDY COURSE REQUEST” button. 
 


3.  Any courses that have previously been submitted will appear in the “ Pending Program of Study Course Request” table at the top of the screen. 

4.   To request a new course to NAF for review, complete the “New Program of Study Course Request” fields.

  • Requesting District (District Lead Only):  Select the district that is requesting the course. If the user is associated with more than one district, all associated districts will appear in the drop-down.
  • Requesting Schools: Select the school(s) that will need access to the requested course. If the user is associated with more than one school, all associated schools will appear in the drop-down.
  • Course Name:  Enter in the course name.
  • Career Cluster:  Select the career cluster to which the course most closely aligns to meet the Theme-Based requirement.
  • Length of Course: Select the number of semesters it takes to complete the course. 
  • Performance  Based 
    Assessment :  Indicate if the course includes a performance based  assessment. 
  • State Approved Course and/or Evidence Through URL:  Enter evidence.
  • Phone Number:  Enter requesters phone number.


Once the course has been submitted it will be reviewed by NAF and either approved or denied.  Communication regarding the status of the course will be sent directly from NAF to the academy leads of record in the NAF Data Center.

If a course is approved, it will be immediately added to the drop down options for teachers and added to the Program of Study Approved Courses document available in the “Access Resources” section.
